- July, 2011
We have participated in the Transformation Tool Contest 2011 which took place in Zurich, Swiss, June 29-30. We have finished 4th in the live contest just a point behind podium.
- March, 2011
The new version (1.3.5) of MOLA2 Tool is available in our downloads
page.
- July, 2010
We have participated in the Transformation Tool Contest 2010 which took place in Malaga, Spain, July 1-2. MOLA2 Tool has been used to solve the model Migration case and, of course, we have participated in the online contest transforming lambda-calculus! Had a great time and made many new friends!
- March, 2010
The new version (1.3.1) of MOLA2 Tool is available in our downloads
page. The automatic conversion of old MOLA projects to the latest version is added.
- November, 2009
-
The new version (1.3) of MOLA2 Tool is available in our downloads
page. Ecore metamodel import is implemented. Support of MOLA procedure import and export is added too.
-
Presentation (in Latvian) and demo of MOLA integration with Sparx Enterprise Architect in the context of Model Driven Software Development is available
here.
- June, 2009
The new version of MOLA2 Tool is available in our downloads
page. MOLA2 Tool version 1.2 has become more stable than previous versions. Some nice features have been also added, for example, the type of an association link is automatically set if it is the only one possible option. These changes affect mainly the usability.
- August, 2008
The new version of MOLA2 Tool is available in our downloads
page.
- April, 2008
JGralab and EMF
model repositories will be supported
by
MOLA2 Tool. Currently, implementation of MOLA on JGralab is completed.
Please, contact us, if
you want to try it. Implementation of MOLA on EMF is nearly finished.
- October, 2007
- MOLA language and MOLA2 Tool have been successfully
used
in the European IST 6th
framework project ReDSeeDS. MOLA is being used to solve a
typical MDSD-related task. A requirement model to architectural
model and the architectural model to detailed design model
transformations have been developed in MOLA. A workshop has been
organized in Warsaw, Poland, where the transformations were tested and
validated by industrial partners of the ReDSeeDS project.
- MOLA2 Tool has been presented at the DSM workshop
in the OOPSLA
conference held in Montreal, Canada, as an example of editor
built using the
Transformation-based Tool Framework
METAclipse (details
of METAclipse see Publications
page, A.
Kalnins, O. Vilitis, E. Celms, E. Kalnina, A. Sostaks, J. Barzdins:
Building Tools by Model Transformations in Eclipse).
- February,
2007
Development of MOLA2i Tool has been completed and
MOLA2
Tool is being developed. The download will be available soon - keep
track on our news.
- October,
2006
MOLA2 Tool architecture is confirmed. The MOLA
compiler
to L3 language and then compilers for Lx languages will be used to
obtain an executable transformation.
A
bootstrapping
method will be used - first, fast development of a temporary MOLA Tool
version (MOLA2i Tool)
which implements a subset of MOLA language (see MOLA2 initial),
then development of the final MOLA Tool version (MOLA2 Tool)
whose functionality is implemented using MOLA transformations. The
second development step uses the
Transformation-based Tool Framework
(details of TTF see Publications
page, A. Kalnins, J. Barzdins. MDA
Support by Transformation Based Tool).
For MOLA2 Tool details see Tool
Description page
- July, 2006
- Research and experiments have shown (see Publications page,
A. Kalnins, E. Celms, A. Sostaks. Simple
and Efficient Implementation
of Pattern Matching in MOLA Tool) that the SQL-based
repository
version of MOLA Tool (MOLA1
Tool)
is sufficient for an experimental tool. As the result of experiments
several new features have been added to MOLA language (see MOLA2final).
A decision to change the repository type to in-memory one is made. This
decision is based on the desire to avoid limitations on pattern size
and to increase MOLA Tool performance.
- An efficient and fast metamodel-based in-memory
repository (see Publications
page,
J. Barzdins, G. Barzdins, R. Balodis, K. Cerans, A. Kalnins, M.
Opmanis, K. Podnieks. Towards
Semantic Latvia) developed in Institute
of Mathematics and Computer Science University of Latvia has been
chosen as the MOLA Tool repository. An additional reason for our choice
is the existence of Lx transformation language set
- "an assembler" of transformation languages - supporting the
repository.
- October, 2005
MOLA Tool will be presented at European
Conference on Model Driven Architecture -
Foundations and Applications Tools Exhibition in Nuerenberg,
Germany, November 7-10, 2005
